This role offers the opportunity to safeguard a fast-growing SaaS platform used by thousands of clients worldwide. You will lead security assessments, design and implement protective controls, and enhance monitoring across applications and infrastructure. Working closely with product, operations, and development teams, you will prioritize remediation actions, manage security risks, and foster a security-first culture throughout the organization. The position combines hands-on technical work with strategic guidance, providing significant impact on platform reliability and user trust. Accountabilities

• Conduct and prioritize security assessment reports, translating findings into actionable improvements.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for applications and infrastructure.
• Implement security measures, including WAF configurations, network segmentation, and device security.
• Enhance existing monitoring and detection systems to proactively identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs for teams.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to ensure secure development practices and compliance.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security.
• 3+ years of experience in application, system, or network security roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing, Linux administration, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Strong knowledge of security fundamentals, best practices, and vulnerability management.
• Expertise in Node.js environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to operate independently in a freelance/contract setting while collaborating effectively with teams.
