About the Company

iwoca is building tools to empower small businesses with fast, flexible finance. Since 2012, iwoca has funded billions to over 150,000 businesses across Europe, and aims to empower one million businesses with the financial tools they deserve. The team combines technology, data science, and human understanding to make finance more accessible.

The Team

The Credit Cards team is building iwoca’s newest product for small and medium-sized businesses to manage cash flow alongside existing loans. We focus on platform architecture, credit risk, user experience, and servicing. The team currently consists of a product manager and 4 engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of the front-end architecture and its integration with the back end.
  • Work across the stack with a strong focus on crafting intuitive, high-quality user interfaces.
  • Iterate quickly, refine solutions, and grow technical and product knowledge as the system evolves.
  • Design and deliver features that matter to customers, such as: onboarding flow, rewards experience, card management, and operational tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape how customers apply for, use, and manage cards.
  • Contribute to internal tooling and processes to support scalable customer service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Front-end engineering experience, ideally with React and TypeScript, including testing, API consumption, and accessibility.
  • Experience across the stack, including back-end development (ideally Python).
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining API endpoints.
  • Experience delivering high-quality, accessible UI from design tools (e.g., Figma) through to production.
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, focused on outcomes and impact.

Bonus

  • Experience with financial or payment products.
  • Experience with Django and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong numerical or technical background with relevant degree or experience.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: from £80,000 – £100,000. Salary goals are welcome in applications. Compensation is benchmarked against market rates, with quarterly salary and performance reviews.
