Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Java / AWS)

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience) + package

NOTE: Candidates for this role must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).

We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Manchester. As a senior engineer, you’ll be both a hands-on contributor and a technical leader—writing high-quality code, solving complex problems, and mentoring junior developers. You’ll play a key role in shaping solutions and guiding best practices across the team.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and AWS.
• Contribute across the stack—back-end services, front-end interfaces, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Champion engineering best practices, including clean code, testing, and CI/CD.
• Take ownership of projects, driving them from design through to production deployment.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer, with strong hands-on development skills.
• Proven expertise in Java (Spring Boot, microservices).
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience in a consulting environment
• Front-end experience (React, Angular, or similar) is highly desirable.
• Track record of mentoring, coaching, and leading by example within an engineering team.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and agile delivery.
