Verition Fund Management LLC ("Verition") is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our growing team to help build out full stack applications relating to real-time processing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly optimized real-time processing application that can handle large volumes of data, integrate with 3rd party caching, visualizer platforms
  • Interact with stake holders, derive technical requirements out of functional requirements
  • Work independently, manage bandwidth and prioritize on multiple tasks at hand
  • Interact with global teams

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience developing applications using C#/.NET
  • Strong object-oriented design and development skills with emphasis on enterprise-grade .NET applications
  • 3-5 years experience developing applications using Core Java (secondary skill)
  • 1-3 years RDBMS experience on Oracle or other relational databases
  • 1-3 years experience interfacing with caching solutions such as Hazelcast, Coherence, or GemFire
  • 1-3 years experience with web-based front-end development
  • Production support experience, including application maintenance, deployments, and version upgrades
  • Experience with containerized application development and deployment using Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems that handle real-time data/rendering is a plus
  • Experience developing WPF application is a plus
  • Experience writing Excel VBA / automation is a plus
  • Experience developing Python-based applications is a plus
  • Experience with reporting/analytical applications/products such as Power BI, R Shiny, or Tableau is a plus
