Autumnal Partners are proud to be partnering with a leading private equity investment group to appoint a Fund Financial Controller. This is a high-profile role for an experienced fund finance professional seeking to take ownership of complex fund structures and play a key part in an entrepreneurial, collegiate environment.

As a Financial Controller, you’ll work closely with the Associate Director to oversee the financial operations of multiple private equity funds. You’ll manage fund reporting, valuations, and investor communications while driving process improvements and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial management across a number of private equity funds
• Oversee investment transaction financing (acquisitions and realisations)
• Review carried interest and management fee calculations
• Manage quarterly reporting, partners’ capital statements, and group submissions
• Monitor credit facility covenants and reporting requirements
• Liaise with auditors, lawyers, tax advisors, and global finance teams
• Support investment transactions and coordinate tax reporting data
• Mentor and manage junior members of the fund finance team
• Drive improvements in reporting processes and support system upgrades

Qualifications

• ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified with a strong academic background
• 5–10+ years’ experience in private equity fund finance (Financial Controller, Senior Fund Accountant, or Big 4 Manager with relevant PE exposure)
• Strong leadership and team management skills

Base pay

£90,000-£110,000 base salary plus a target bonus of approximately 30-40% (range provided by Autumnal Partners). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
