Gas Combustion Engineer - Non Domestic for Amey. This is a permanent, on-site role based in Edinburgh/Borders with a standard 37.5 hour week.

Position

Title: Gas Combustion Engineer - Non Domestic

Location: Edinburgh/Borders area, on-site across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Fault finding and identification of life-expired equipment.
  • Work with gas appliances, boilers, heating plant, pumps and ventilation. Minor plumbing work as required.
  • Check, repair and mend faults and life-expired equipment.
  • Inspections and risk assessment.
  • Minimise wastage and continually improve processes.
  • Ensure statutory works are carried out to time and are compliant.
  • This role may include working at height and in all weather conditions.
  • Occasionally you may be requested to undertake work outside of your role by your line manager.

What we are looking for

  • Full driving licence.
  • Relevant commercial gas qualifications including: COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CODNCO1, CGGA1, CIGA1, CENWAT1.
  • Proven experience carrying out service and breakdown on industrial/commercial boilers and appliances with strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Plumbing experience is advantageous.

Requirements

Commercial gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration are essential. You will be part of a team delivering a safe and warm environment for educational facilities across approximately 20 sites, working with about 18 engineers. A company van is provided.
