**up to £42,000 per year depending on experience**
A well-established local heating & plumbing firm, serving domestic and commercial clients across Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton, Rugeley and surrounding areas, seeks a Gas Engineer with proven skills and professionalism. With over 20 years experience, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and maintaining full Gas Safe and OFTEC registration, along with certifications from major boiler manufacturers.
The successful candidate will carry out installations, servicing, repairs, safety checks and diagnostics on boilers and central heating systems, upholding the organisations reputation for reliability, efficiency, and technical excellence.
What we need from you:
- Minimum 4 years experience working as a Gas Engineer
- Must be Gas Safe registered with valid certificates
- Proven experience in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing boilers and heating systems
- Have strong technical ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Have good communication skills, especially when dealing with customers
- Commitment to high standards of health & safety and compliance
- Full Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Plumbing experience
- Experience working with oil
What the role involves:
You will carry out servicing, repairs, installations, and safety checks on boilers and central heating systems for both domestic and commercial clients. Duties include:
- Service, repair, and install domestic gas boilers and heating systems
- Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Certificates (LGSRs) and other compliance checks
- Diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions
- Work in line with Gas Safe regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service, keeping clients informed at all stages of the job
- Record all work accurately using companies internal job management systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment
Salary:up to £42,000 per year (dependent on experience).
Hours: Core hours are 8am 5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours or emergency works (working on a rota - voluntary basis with additional payment).
