Job Title: GCP Cloud Engineer Tier 1 Bank Location: Sheffield (Hybrid) Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35) A Tier 1 global bank is seeking a driven and seasoned GCP Cloud Engineer to support the development of services on public cloud platforms. This role provides the opportunity to apply your cloud engineering and DevOps expertise across GCP to deploy and configure secure backend services, automate infrastructure, and leverage native cloud services. Youll be part of a team building impactful systems within a high-availability, secure, and regulated environment at a leading financial institution. Key Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and secure backend REST API services using cloud-native services.

Deploy and secure containerised application runtimes through Infrastructure as Code.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and Security teams, ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.

Manage, monitor, and optimise GCP infrastructure for performance, resilience, cost-efficiency, and security.

Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and cybersecurity teams to meet compliance and governance requirements.

Support live systems, troubleshoot incidents, and implement fixes for bugs and performance issues.
