My client is a trusted engineering solutions provider working across the marine, heavy plant, agricultural, and industrial mining sectors, and we're looking for a Service Engineer - Gearboxes to join their team. You'll play a vital role in servicing, repairing, installing, and overhauling heavy-duty gearboxes and driveline systems, working primarily from their workshop in Queenborough (95%) with occasional UK field assignments (5%).

(Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Service Technician)
Location: Queenborough, Kent

Role duties:
Service, repair, maintain, and overhaul heavy-duty gearboxes and driveline systems
Work across marine vessels, agricultural machinery, heavy plant, and industrial equipment
Conduct mechanical strip-downs, diagnostics, part replacements, and full rebuilds
Perform alignment, dynamic testing, and quality inspections
Occasionally travel (5%) across the UK for on-site service and installations
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high safety and quality standards

Requirements:
Time-served mechanical engineer with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Hands-on experience with gearboxes and rotating equipment
Background in marine, plant, agricultural, mining, or industrial sectors
Strong skills in mechanical diagnostics, installations, and rebuilds
Willingness to travel across the UK on short-term assignments (5%)
