We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering company based in Telford, for a General Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on role that involves working across a variety of machining tasks, with a focus on both milling and turning. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, precision components to support ongoing projects and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities Operate milling and turning machines (manual and/or CNC depending on experience) to produce precision components. Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Work to tight tolerances and quality standards. Carry out general workshop engineering duties, supporting across different projects as required. Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and ensure safe operation. Perform inspection of finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain equipment, ensuring machines are kept in good working condition. Assist colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused workshop environment. Follow company health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working area.Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in an engineering/machining role. Strong knowledge of both milling and turning processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Experience with CNC programming or setting is advantageous, but not essential.
