Our clients are a reputable provider of power generation solutions, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Engineer to join our team in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain generator systems for clients in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, including site surveys and system design.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to generator systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Generator Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in electrical engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of generator systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficient in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools for generators.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within Manchester and occasionally outside the city.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical engineering or generator systems will be an advantage.
