Job Title: Geo-Environmental Engineer\n\nLocation: Manchester\n\nSalary: £(phone number removed)\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and motivated geo-Environmental Engineer to join a successful contaminated land team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, professional geologist, with a passion for delivering high-quality consultancy services in the geotechnical, geo-environmental and remediation sectors. You will play a key role in supporting a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale developments to large, multidisciplinary infrastructure schemes.\n\nGeo-environmental Engineer Responsibilities:\n\nConduct geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations, including desk studies, site supervision, and data collection.\nPrepare technical reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, and interpretative geotechnical and environmental assessments.\nProvide technical advice and solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.\nCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.\nUndertake risk assessments and provide recommendations for remediation strategies where necessary.\nAssist in the preparation of tenders, proposals, and project documentation.Required criteria:\n\nA degree in Geology/Environmental Science, or a related discipline.\nPostgraduate qualification in a relevant field (desirable but not essential).\nProven experience in geotechnical and/or geo-environmental engineering.\nStrong knowledge of UK regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines\nProficiency in contaminated land interpretive report writing and remediation strategies\nFull right to work permanently in the UK\nFull UK driving license.\nCommutable to ManchesterYour day to day geo-environmental engineer duties will include: Conducting site visits to supervise investigations and collect samples.
Analysing soil, rock, and groundwater data to assess site conditions. Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders.
