Due to continued growth and some exciting new projects, Travis Baker are growing and need an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to help with an exciting and varied new project workload in a growing office. Details of the position are below;
Responsibilities:
Participating in a variety of geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams within RSKAssisting with ground investigations and desk studiesSoil logging to current UK standards, including laboratory schedulingExperience of soil sampling plus water monitoring/samplingWriting factual and interpretative reportsGeotechnical reporting requirements beneficialKnowledge of contaminated land legislation and reporting requirementsPreparing factual site investigation dataTravel to other offices and sites within the UK (as needed)Qualification and Experience:
BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science or similarMSc desirable but not essentialWorking towards membership of a relevant professional body with a longer term goal to move toward chartership with a relevant institutionBasic knowledge of planning legislationExperience of site inspections and reporting, preferably on residential developmentsAble to complete factual and interpretative assessments to a basic levelAble to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancyTrack record in managing time and resources effectively and within budgetIn possession of full UK driving licenseSalary and Benefits:
