Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines being able to establish excellent working rapport within the team.What we OfferMentorship from experienced senior engineers and associates.Opportunity to work across multiple sectors and business groups.Exposure to landmark UK and international projects.A structured career development programme.Clear career progression pathways and professional development support.A collaborative, flexible, and supportive team environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production.Support the design and engineering of high-voltage substations and power delivery projects from concept through to detailed design.Assist in preparing technical documentation including reports, specifications, drawings, and calculations.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and protection engineers to integrate solutions.Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and client meetings with the support of senior staff.Help interpret and apply relevant design codes, standards, and client specifications (e.g. IEC, IEEE, ANSI).Engage in internal learning opportunities to develop technical expertise and progress toward chartership.Promote safe design practices and support compliance with CDM regulations and ISO quality standards.Be personable and a proactive positive attitude.Be clear, concise, professional and personable when communicating with clients, colleagues and suppliers.Have the ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times.Be able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.Be able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.Required QualificationsHold a Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering topic (Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or related).Be working toward or interest in obtaining Chartered status.Have a basic understanding of electrical systems design, including one-line diagrams, cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes.Be familiar with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSILENT or similar) is a plus.Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Have a basic understanding of electrical systems design, including one-line diagrams, cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes.Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSILENT or similar) is a plus.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
