We’re seeking graduates with the desire and enthusiasm to make a difference across homes, offices, projects, industry, and the community.The Role You'll PlayIn this Graduate Electrical Engineer role, you’ll join a team that designs some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide. You’ll provide specialist consultancy input on projects across sectors including education, healthcare, workplace, retail, and critical systems (data centres). Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you’ll undertake detailed electrical building services engineering design and analysis, translating client needs into designs for buildings, facilities, and services (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems, etc.), with sustainability at the forefront.Over time you’ll assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop. You’ll have access to accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IET, supporting your path toward chartership.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver electrical building services designs for a range of projects.Undertake electrical design and analysis with a focus on sustainability.Define and translate clients’ needs into practical design solutions (distribution, generation, lighting, security systems, etc.).Develop your skills and responsibility through guided progression and professional development programs.Qualifications and SkillsOn target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.Desirable: accredited with or on track to achieve a BEng/MEng degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Strong interest in Electrical Engineering, particularly Building Design or Critical Systems.Desire for personal and professional development; able to work effectively as part of a team; well-organised with good task, priority, and deadline management.Understanding of digital engineering concepts; familiarity with parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C#, VB).Strong communication skills (written and verbal); collaborative; initiative-driven with a positive, can-do attitude.What’s in it for you?We offer a competitive starting salary with progression as you develop, plus various training and development opportunities to support your growth.
