Overview
Are you a Production Engineer looking for your first opportunity supporting solutions within the manufacturing and Aerospace/Defence sector? This permanent role may be for you if you have a background in electrical engineering. The position is with a global Aerospace and Defence manufacturer based in Greater Manchester and focuses on providing technical support for products within the Operations function.

Responsibilities
Supporting the technical engineering input within Operations (Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain).
Supporting the technical justification for change control within an Operations environment.
Supporting the supply chain function with technical queries.
Supporting the Engineering (NPI) function with change control feedback.
Presenting change control technical rationale into the Engineering Design Authority.
Supporting the implementation of fresh, cost effective, best practice technological methods which enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of Lean Principles and process variation (Green Belt desirable).
Solid understanding of Core Manufacturing tools and ability to implement OEE, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Improvement methods (e.g., Kaizen).
Solid understanding of APQP to assist members of the NPI Team.
Qualified to a minimum of HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering with previous experience in electronic manufacturing (Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable).
Ability to problem solve a wide range of technical issues (Mechanical, Electrical & Process).
Microsoft Office experience.
Be proactive using methods to prevent failures within Customer/Production (PFMEA or Ishikawa).
