Uniquely, we recruit to role – and right now we’re looking for Graduate Engineer (Civil Structures) to join our Civils Structures team in Edinburgh.

Working as part of the Scotland Civil Structures team, you'll support a wide variety of bridge and other structures projects in the Highways, Energy and Active Travels sectors, and be involved in a range of activities including undertaking inspections and preparing technical outputs including calculations, drawings, sketches, reports.

You will take ownership and responsibility for the quality of work you produce, ensuring that work is delivered in line with the agreed timescales and ensuring you understand and comply with our Company Integrated Management system and all relevant health and safety legislation.

You will learn from experienced people who share a passion for working together with our customers to deliver technical excellence and as you develop be given opportunity to work more independently.

What do you need to apply?

We want to hear from you if you…

  • Have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Are driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future. This is a permanent role, and we’re looking for candidates who can grow their careers with Sweco without a time limit.
  • Have a full UK driving license, or looking to obtain one in the near future.
