Graduate Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

•Construct, maintain, operate and meticulously test complex ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems and chambers, including performing precision tasks such as cleaning, coating, baking and sealing of vacuum systems.

•Operate, manage, and maintain in-house vacuum systems and supporting equipment capabilities, including complex equipment.

•Identify technical and operational risks, proposing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

•Create detailed documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and developments.

Background and qualifications:

•Applicant is expected to have completed education to a level of Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, or a related field.

•Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in building, assembling, or prototyping mechanical or electromechanical systems.

•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve technical and operational issues in high-stakes environments.

Salary - £25,000-£35,000 DOE
