It is constructed using modules which align with standards provided by the Engineering Councils UK-SPEC for Chartered Engineers, and has Vulcain's values embedded throughout. Highlights of the programme include:Start with a 2 week induction training period with your fellow graduates, with topics like Introduction to Nuclear, Nuclear Safety, guest speakers from the Nuclear Sector and ice-breaker activities.You will also develop your softer skills with training to prepare and develop your approach to working with colleagues and the client.As well as on-the-job training, you will embark on training courses to improve project management, commercial awareness and leadership skills.You will represent Vulcain as a Young Person in Nuclear, and you'll automatically be included in the Vulcain's Future Leaders (VFL) programme - a UK wide network for all of our new entrants.Formal chartership mentoring will be structured with Vulcain mentors. Mentor training sessions will be arranged for general professional mentoring as well as specific sessions for chartership mentoring.You will embark on a range of site visits to gain a deeper insight in to the nuclear industry. These sites will likely include major nuclear new build projects such as Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.With a primary focus on the Nuclear Sector, our Technical Communities based in the South West of England are making valuable contributions to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).We are offering you an opportunity to transfer your knowledge into real-life applications and be a part of the UK's drive towards Carbon Net Zero.Hold or be about to complete a degree in either Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field with an emphasis on one of these subjects.You will have indefinite and independent right to work in the UK, due to the high level of security clearance required on several of our UK Nuclear sites.A flexible and open approach to learning & development, and be open to exploring a range diverse tasks and interfaces outside of your comfort zone.An analytical mindset, and be able to interpret & articulate technical detail to none-technical colleagues.Strong skills in active listening and communication, with the ability to build strong work relationships and trust within teams.Ability to question the status quo - and to continuously challenge existing conditions.
