Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we have a permanent vacancy for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer based within our Nottingham Office.Within this role you will have the opportunity to:Build upon your existing skills, knowledge and experience of electrical servicesBe supported and encouraged through your professional developmentLearn from an experienced team.Work in a friendly environmentThe Role:This role would suit either a Post Grad’ Electrical Engineer or Apprenticeship trained Electrician wanting to move into a design environment.The successful candidate will work alongside our other electrical designers on a wide range of projects across various sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to a detailed and fully coordinated design for installation purposes. RIBA Stages 0 to 5.A primary focus of the role will HV network design and managing utility services applications, but you will also assist with the design of all electrical building services such as LV distribution, lighting, small power and fire and security systems.Tuition will be provided for design software packages including ETAP, AMTEC and Relux for the design of HV, LV and lighting systems respectively.As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work alongside our electrical and mechanical building services Design Engineers and Revit Technicians as part of a multi discipline team producing detailed, complex and sustainable building services designs in both a 2D and 3D environment.Duties will include:Designing, sizing and selecting electrical systems using various calculation software packagesImplementing sustainable technologies into the electrical designProduction of three-dimensional models, drawings, specifications and reportsPreparing load calculations and applying for utility connectionsCoordinating design with colleagues from other disciplinesReferring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building RegulationsAttend client, design team and project meetingsUndertake feasibility studies and surveysPreferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:Degree in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent, or apprenticeship trained electrician with City & Guild qualificationsConfident with Microsoft Office, predominately Word, Excel, and OutlookWillingness and ability to use design software, ETAP, AMTEC, Relux, Revit, AutoCADPersonal Qualities:Looking for a career in building services and utility network designAppetite to learn and developInterested and confident to ask questionsGood time management, organised with a flexible attitudeBe a team player, but able to operate at an individual levelOrganised with a flexible attitudeResponsible, punctual, reliable and hard-workingTraining and Development:Training will be provided ‘in house’ supported by our experienced design engineersSupport and mentoring will be provided to obtain professional membership (IET & CIBSE)Full time employment (40hours per week)Full support and guidance for personal and professional developmentHealthcare Scheme (providing financial support for Optometry, Dental, and other healthcare services)Contributory pensionCycle to work schemeEasily accessible office, well served by public transportTeam socials and eventsTo Apply:To make an application for this exciting opportunity, please send your CV and a covering letter to the below email address. #J-18808-Ljbffr
