JOB – Junior Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION – Oldham

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £25,000-£35,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oldham on a permanent basis.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Technical knowledge with the ability to read engineering drawings Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining, assembly etc Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD etc. Knowledge of tender process would be beneficial Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent customer-service skills Confident and driven for career progression

The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

Excellent opportunities for training and development, with room to progress within the company Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) Producing technical drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs Dealing with customers on a technical level Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand Supporting technical delivery of the company’s products and services Working on continuous improvement projects
