Job Description: As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke heavy engineering equipment. Working closely with an experienced engineering team and the shop floor welders and fabricators, you will turn concepts into practical designs that deliver real-world impact.
Your role as a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will include creating and modifying 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor, producing and interpreting engineering drawings, and performing hand calculations to support safe and effective design. You will also gain exposure to the full design-to-manufacture process, contributing to innovative projects that directly support the highways and infrastructure sector.
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline).
* Experience with 3D CAD – Inventor is essential.
* Strong ability to read and produce engineering drawings.
* Competence in carrying out hand calculations.
* Enthusiasm for working alongside fabricators and welders to see designs come to life.
