Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (Driving license and own vehicle due to site location)

The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Junior OR Graduate Design Engineer to join a highly experienced engineering team within a global leader in advanced automated systems. With thousands of systems in operation globally, this company is setting the standard for high-performance machinery.
You’ll be involved in the full design process of sophisticated automated machinery, from concept to production, helping to build innovative systems that define industry excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support the design and development of state-of-the-art automated machinery
* Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks
* Collaborate with senior engineers on innovative mechanical solutions
* Contribute to design reviews and refine concepts to production-ready standards
* Assist in preparing technical documentation, production manuals, and assembly guides
What You’ll Need
Must-Haves:
* Degree qualified in a Mechanical discipline
* Experience using CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
* Understanding of automated machinery would be highly desirable
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Desire to learn and contribute to cutting-edge automation projects
Nice to Have:
* Experience preparing documentation for manufacturing
* Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) or product lifecycle considerations
