The RoleThe role provides effective support to the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to Company and legislative procedures and building strong working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external). You will develop your skills towards managing parts of projects that are allocated to you with limited complexity, to ensure safety first, quality and on-time delivery. You will focus on the completion of set tasks and project activities that are core Freyssinet services. Accountabilities
Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver project tasks and outcomes in accordance with schedule. Review plans and drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager. Complete routine engineering tasks including take-offs after project handover to enable ordering of material and equipment in accordance with the project specification and engineering details under the direction of the Project Manager. Draft and revise:
Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS) Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions Work Pack Plans (WPPs) & Task Briefs Material approval requests (MARs)
Set out of work. Engage with clients’ site representatives and plan the works with the Project Manager on a day-to-day basis. Plan day-to-day activities in conjunction with Site Supervisors. Compile site records, including detailed allocation sheets/site diaries, photo logs, plant & labour returns, as-built drawing mark-ups, production schedules, ITPs and other quality documents. Provide detailed analysis/tracking of change to facilitate updating the contract programme on a weekly basis. Identify issues or changes to the SOW at first level and escalate to the Project Manager. Assist with preparation of project QSE documents. Assist with project close-out and reporting as required. Carry out weekly site safety inspections and be an ambassador for safety, supporting the Company’s safety culture. Arrange site inductions with the client and safety-critical medicals where appropriate.
Qualifications Required
A degree in civil engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline (required). Experience of practical application of onsite operations from an industrial placement, ideally within structural repairs and strengthening (desirable).
You will be based from our Head Office in Telford and must be flexible to work on various civil engineering projects in Central England. Seniority level
