Graduate Software Engineer - London

£50K + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare + Gym + International exposure. A high-performance City-based team that develops an industry-leading portfolio management system is looking to hire additional graduates for the 2025 intake.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small performance-driven team (7 people) to help create solutions that solve complex business problems.
• Interface with all areas of the business (underwriting, actuarial, finance and investor relations) and learn about topics such as catastrophe modelling, capital raising and loss simulation, applying these learnings to the systems you build.
• Take ownership of projects early, with freedom to innovate and take responsibility for the solutions you create.
• Operate in a small, high-performing team where your work is visible and can impact key business functions with potential for rapid progression.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a drive to deliver results. Be curious about the wider business and eager to collaborate to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Have studied Computer Science or Mathematics at a top university
• Strong OOP skills; language is not important (Python, Java, C++/C#). elegant code is elegant code in any language.
• Strong problem-solving capability
• Have had internship or placement experience (non-negotiable)

Starting details

Starting salary is £50K + bonus + pension + healthcare + gym + opportunity for international travel. Top performers will be compensated accordingly.
