OverviewRotating through diverse engineering projects over a 12-month graduate programme.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, and implementing software using languages such as C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, and web frameworks.Integrating software with system components, including FPGA/PLD devices and embedded hardware.Participating in product development across secure communications, mobile apps, and embedded systems (Linux/RTOS).Documenting design specifications and development decisions, following best practices.Gaining exposure to all stages of the product lifecycle - from requirements to testing.Investigating and evaluating emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools.Collaborating within multi-disciplinary Agile teams to deliver value across projects.Supporting STEM outreach initiatives and representing PentenAmio at events.QualificationsA minimum 2:1 degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Cyber Security.Awareness of core software development principles with experience in at least one of the following:Embedded systems (e.g. Linux on Raspberry Pi, Arduino)App development (Android/iOS)Scripting (e.g. Python, Bash)UI/UX and accessibilityFamiliarity with Windows and Linux operating systems; exposure to embedded microkernels or RTOS is desirable.Understanding of the product development lifecycle.Ability to learn and apply innovative technologies quickly.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a systematic approach.RequirementsBe on track to graduate by Summer 2026 with a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree.Be a British citizen, and hold or be eligible for UK National Security Vetting (NSV) - SC clearance.About PentenAmioPentenAmio is a leading provider of advanced digital security solutions that power national security and resilience across the UK, Australia and our allies.
