Grid Development Engineer

Up to £60,000 DOE + wide ranging benefits. Central London based office offering hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 WFH). BESS & Heat Decarbonisation developer, owner and operator.

The role and team

This role will fall within their BESS unit. This arm of the group is unique, specialising in smaller, localised BESS projects. This is a strength for the group, avoiding long wait times for transmission level connections. The total value of this project exceeds hundreds of millions and is set to be pioneering in the industry. The group also owns and operates their assets once they have been built.

This role is a mid to junior role within the grid team. Due to this culture, it's one that you're set to progress through in no time, if you're up for the challenge.

Main responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting grid applications.
• Liaising with various DNOs and other external stakeholders.
• Working with technical experts for project designs and planning.
• Working closely with internal teams, including development, grid and engineering.
• Monitoring grid applications ensuring they are able to meet milestones and be compliant to regulations.

Your background

Suitable candidates will have a strong understanding and knowledge of the UK grid network. They'll also have strong interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for the sector.
