Hardware Engineer

Overview
We are looking for Hardware Engineers to drive forward the Defence sector within Electrical and Embedded Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the client project that you support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time embedded hardware solutions.
- Participate in various hardware lifecycle methodologies.
- Manage hardware requirements and traceability using industry best practices.
- Plan and execute hardware tests.
- Document all aspects of the hardware development process according to company standards.
Qualifications
- A BEng/BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent in Electronics or similarly related subject.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of hardware design in a Defence environment.
- Understanding of data communications and networking principles.
- Experience in hardware design and production of hardware requirements.
- Familiar with hardware testing tools and techniques.
- Clear communicator - both written and verbal.
Desired Skills
- Experience working on underwater acoustics and/or sonar.
- Experience within Systems Engineering.
- Design of equipment for the sub-sea environment.
- Experience with Design for Cost / Design for Manufacture, manufacturing specifications and transition to production environment.
- Experience of IVVQ activities.

- SC will be required to support this role.
