Job title: Head Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: London (SW19)

Salary: £65,000 per annum

Job type: Full Time - Permanent. Working 5 days per week. Position is 9 hours a day. (ocassionally 6 days). Overtime may be required.

About the Role

We are a busy bakery in SW19 producing fresh and frozen bread products on a fully automated plant, semi-automated lines and by hand. We are looking to expand and want a Head Engineer with long-term commitment to help achieve this.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Adhere to all policies and practices as requested
• Working on ovens, mixing, bagging and slicing machines
• Identify worn or broken parts to replace with Miller\'s core suppliers, ensuring comparable specifications
• Hands-on approach
• Multi-skilled
• Daily checks and maintenance
• Work independently
• Communication with other staff members
• Preventive maintenance
• Organised & proactive
• Point of contact for contractors on site, sign in, complete inductions
• Follow up work planning with production and keep records
• Maintain health & safety standards
• Document new procedures and schedules
• Line & machine checks pre-production
• Represent the department during external audits
• Walk the line during production, checking parts & machines
• Motor replacement when required
• Welding
• Electrical work & any other duties relevant to the role
• Managing a small team of 4
• Ordering parts & stock control

You will

• Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with a variety of people
• Good English & oral communication
• Experience in the food industry
• Be self-driven and motivated
• Have a sense of ownership and pride in your work

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous engineering qualification desirable
