The role involves conducting surveys of drainage systems to assess conditions, identify defects and support maintenance and repair strategies. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone with experience in drainage inspection and a strong understanding of sewer networks.As a HGV Tanker Engineer, You WillOperate HGV-mounted vacuum and jetting tankers for drainage and waste management tasksDiagnose drainage issues and apply suitable jetting techniques based on blockage typeIndependently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high-quality workCommunicate professionally with customers, explaining tasks, addressing questions, and providing summariesAccurately complete digital job reports and system updates using laptops or tabletsConduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptlyMaintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory complianceSupport reactive and scheduled works, including emergency callouts and confined space entries (if trained)About YouFull UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)HGV Class 2 LicencePrevious experience as a HGV Jetvac Operator or in a similar role (Desirable)Willingness to work flexible hours and travel across the Anglian regionAbout The Lanes GroupThe Lanes Group are the UK’s largest independent provider of water and wastewater solutions and services, we play a vital role in always maintaining the seamless operations of the nation’s water systems.
