Responsibilities
Benchmarking new technologies and features supporting electrification of PHEV and BEV products Responsible for the requirements to support development of new charging system features and functions. Responsible for updating standards in line with existing and upcoming international standards. Issuing Test Procedures to ensure any new/updated high voltage charging feature or function can be adequately tested. Responsible for the management of HV Charging System related software requirements, linked to the various software functions of the system Responsible for the rectification of software and hardware issues related to specific High Voltage Charging system issues. Accountable for the development of rigs to help with software testing, debugging and validation Taking logs (diagnostics) and using prognostics data to verify charging performance of features has been met on rigs and vehicles.
Qualifications
Significant knowledge & practical experience of High Voltage Electronic Charging systems Significant knowledge & practical experience of the software development processes. Project management, Leadership and planning skills are essential, along with good teamwork and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking is also essential. Significant experience of D&R, Quality processes including 8D, FMA process as well as requirements and standards writing. Valid UK driving license
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics or automotive engineering Experience: Over 5 years of proven experience in HV Charging and features and controls in Battery Electric / Hybrid automotive vehicle applications Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD communication protocols Use of Hardware In the Loop (HIL) rigs Functional Safety Knowledge, ISO 26262/ Cyber security systems and requirements, ASPICE
