Are you a Development Control Engineer looking for a new challenge?

Our client is an ambitious local authority who are seeking a Development Control Engineer with experience in commenting on and reviewing planning applications to join them on a contract basis, initially for 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-planning advice to developers and consultants, assess planning applications and negotiate with developers to secure planning obligations
• Contribute to the preparation and submission of documents for appeals and public inquiries
• Prepare reports on the impact of planning proposals on the highway and public realm for presenting to the Planning Department and Planning Committee
• Attendance at meetings and formal hearings as required

Requirements

• Experience of working in a local authority
