Human Factors Engineer
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid - Home and Office Based)
Contract: 12-Month Initial Contract
Rate: Up to £28.58 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external design partners, and human factors vendors to deliver usability engineering activities.
  • Manage and document use-related risks and contribute to Instructions for Use (IFU) documentation.
  • Support the generation of human factors regulatory documentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on human factors engineering across the organisation.
  • Project manage the supply, assembly, and testing of materials for human factors studies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Human Factors Engineering, ideally within combination product/device development.
  • Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, concise documentation for regulatory authorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable

  • Advanced qualification in Human Factors/Usability or related field.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical or medical device regulatory requirements.
  • Background in a medical or healthcare-related discipline.
