The Opportunity

With a focus on the design and application of screw compressors, you will need to be self-motivated and prepared to undertake a variety of responsibilities, from hands-on testing and commissioning of compressors to managing complete Compressor Design Projects both in the UK and in collaboration with other group companies worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop screw compressors.
• Manage assigned projects and test programmes, and operate test stands.
• Analyze applicability, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications.
• Assemble, modify, and test the company's products at Group locations, including prototypes and equipment with new features.
• Investigate and re-engineer existing compressor designs for improved performance regarding quality, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with the team to set up and prepare compressors for testing, including disassembly, sensor installation, and other equipment setup.
• Work with outside specialist companies and organizations to explore alternative solutions for screw compressor design.
• Create and review technical drawings of compressors and related parts for prototypes.
• Conduct testing to ensure compressor performance and testing quality meet standards. Analyze results, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
• Plan, monitor, and control project progress, providing reports as required.

Required Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is advantageous.
• UK driving license is beneficial.
