Overview

Join Thales UK as an Industrial Process Engineer within the OME (Optronics and Missile Electronics) manufacturing team to deliver industrialisation activities and support through production. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Management team and apply process engineering techniques across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate costs and schedules to support bids (direct and in-direct costs).
  • Support New Product Introduction (MRL, PRR, FAI, DFx, tooling and test equipment).
  • Review engineering definition files and create/approve manufacturing files.
  • Define assembly and test processes.
  • Manage non-conformance and engineering changes in production.
  • Monitor product costs and contribute to KPI targets with the Workcell/APRU Manager.
  • Identify and implement improvements using Lean techniques.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience of manufacturing engineering processes in a similar environment.
  • Excellent team player and communicator; able to work with diverse teams.
  • Strong relationship builder; able to manage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Flexible, fast learner with good time management and prioritisation.
  • Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with industry tools (Oracle, Palma, Mestec).
