This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of our IT systems and requires a proactive approach to system maintenance, monitoring, and improvement. Day-to-day of the role: Support and maintain the infrastructure around the Azure-based Pension Administration system. Monitor server performance, ensure all servers are patched, and conduct monthly patching. Perform maintenance on all virtual servers, set up maintenance plans, and engage in proactive monitoring. Keep the CMDB database up-to-date and manage the capacity planning spreadsheet. Ensure robust data backup processes are in place and monitor certificate expiry and updates. Support business-critical applications and manage networking components including SD-WAN, switches, routers, and firewalls. Design, support, and monitor the Azure environment, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and other cloud services.
