The Infrastructure Engineer will join an already established Platform team within CBS, providing a level of technical knowledge to undertake the troubleshooting and resolution to production incidents or problems independently escalating to Senior Engineers if required. An effective team member who provides support and guidance to peers and other team members. A Demonstrable level of knowledge in their chosen technical discipline with experience of working in a complex production environment. Financial services experience would be desirable.
Contributes to team efficiency through the creation of accurate technical documentation.
Completes tasks to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales with minimal supervision.
Looks for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures.
Responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving production service incidents.
Undertakes technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts and configuring backups
Effectively prioritises tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first

We'll require you to be available for out-of-hours support rota, after a suitable amount of training and familiarisation. Payments will be made for on-call as per the company's on-call policy.
This role requires you to be on-site in Coventry 1 day per week for collaboration with peers and other CIDO events.
About you
To be successful in this role it's essential you have:
Installation and configuration of Flash Storage
Experience of Data replication
Clustered File System management
Working with Storage Virtualisation Management
Use of Virtual storage monitoring, automation, and analytics tools
SAN fabrics maintenance.
Exposure to and application of cluster management
Experience of Encryption Key Management Systems
Experience of working with Linux command line technologies
Desirable experience will be:
Experience of IBM Flash Systems
Experience of Global Mirror
Experience of Spectrum Scale
Working with IBM SVC
Use of IBM spectrum control
An appreciation of Cloud technologies (AWS) and associated features
Knowledge of AWS server administration and features
Some experience of working within an Agile delivery environment
An understanding of VMware products including vSphere/vRealize
An understanding of Virtualisation architecture
An understanding of Cisco UCS & HPE infrastructure
