Referment are partnering with a fast-growing financial services firm in London that’s hiring a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join their high-performing tech team. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain deep exposure to modern infrastructure practices while supporting a global enterprise environment across on-prem and cloud platforms.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team driving improvements in automation, cloud adoption, and system reliability. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about infrastructure and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deploying and supporting infrastructure across on-prem and Azure cloud environments
  • Managing Windows & Linux servers, VMware, and container platforms like Docker
  • Automating tasks using PowerShell or Python, and embracing Infrastructure-as-Code with tools like Terraform
  • Acting as an escalation point for infrastructure support and resolving issues proactively
  • Working closely with teams across DevOps, Compliance, and Development
  • Creating clear and secure documentation for infrastructure systems

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of hands-on infrastructure or systems engineering experience (internships count!)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure, VMware, Terraform, Jenkins, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra, Docker
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python
  • A proactive mindset, great communication skills, and a passion for learning
  • A STEM degree and any financial services experience are a bonus
