Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Develop scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Align infrastructure designs with application architecture and business objectives.
  • Implement load-balanced solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • System Administration & Maintenance: Manage physical and virtual servers, Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft application services.
  • Administer telephony systems and contact center solutions.
  • Monitor systems to optimise uptime and performance, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
  • Disaster Recovery & Support: Develop and test disaster recovery plans to meet business and client requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborating with IT support teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure designs, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and recommend future standards.

About You

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in server/network administration, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, SQL, and Exchange Online.
  • Strong understanding of networking topology, firewalls, routers, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and scripting tools (PowerShell, Python).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to mentor and foster technical expertise across teams.
