Infrastructure Project Engineer

Our client is an established IT services business that continues to expand as they take on new contracts and grow their project delivery team. They work with organisations across multiple sectors, helping them transform their IT environments and adopt modern, cloud-first solutions.

They are seeking an Infrastructure Project Engineer who can combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to deliver projects from start to finish. This is a varied role that blends infrastructure engineering with hands-on project work, giving you exposure to different technologies and client environments.

What you’ll be doing as an Infrastructure Project Engineer:

* Leading infrastructure projects including server upgrades, Azure migrations, Intune/Autopilot deployments, and Office 365 rollouts

* Supporting and improving core platforms such as Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, and SQL

* Implementing network solutions across LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments

* Producing clear documentation and providing updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

* Working closely with customers to ensure smooth delivery and a successful handover into BAU support

What we’re looking for in an Infrastructure Project Engineer:

* Previous experience as an Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Engineer with proven involvement in infrastructure projects

* Strong hands-on skills across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, virtualisation, backups, and security

* Confident working on migrations, upgrades, and new implementations in a customer-facing capacity (MSP background ideal)

* Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, or automation tools would be an advantage

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients and colleagues
