A specialist insurance firm in the City is hiring an Infrastructure Support Engineer with a rare dual skill set across Wintel and networking. This is a hands-on role supporting a mix of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, with responsibility across server, endpoint and network layers.

You'll join a focused 2nd line team responsible for the core infrastructure across HQ, global offices and Azure environments. It's a high-trust setup where you'll be expected to take ownership, work across stacks, and contribute to service improvements as well as BAU.

Location: Central London

Salary: up to £65,000 + benefits

What you'll be doing

  • Support and maintain Windows Server, AD, GPO, Intune, SCCM, Defender
  • Manage and troubleshoot networking: Cisco, Checkpoint, Meraki, NetScaler
  • Contribute to patching, monitoring, upgrades, and incident resolution
  • Work across on-prem, hybrid and Azure cloud environments
  • Collaborate with service desk, infrastructure and architecture teams

What we're looking for

  • Solid background in Wintel support (Windows Server, AD, Group Policy)
  • Strong networking knowledge (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN)
  • Comfortable across both domains - not a siloed specialist
  • Experience with VMware, Azure, endpoint management, or Citrix a bonus
  • Clear, confident communication with users and vendors
