Infrastructure Support / IT Security Engineer / Cyber Security - Hybrid working - excellent base salary - early Fri finish

Our client is a major local employer and an NI Top 100 employer, they current have an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Support & Security Engineer to join their busy and rapidly growing IT Dept.

Reporting to the Head of IT, The successful candidate will be heavily involved in the design, install, configuration and testing of the IT infrastructure and partake in some great IT projects along the way. You will also be responsible for Disaster Recovery & backup solutions and play a key part in the overall cyber security function.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure design and deployment on premise & cloud
  • Day to day running of servers, firewalls, switches etc.
  • Take charge of the cyber security awareness within the business
  • Contribute to cloud and SAAS security best practices
  • Vulnerability assessment & response
  • Responsible for the cyber security platforms
  • Provide a layer of escalation for complex issues for the Service Desk team
  • Support VPN and remote workers

Required Criteria

  • 3+ years working in similar IT Infrastructure / Security role
  • Demonstrable experience supporting applications/infrastructure/hardware
  • Configuring Cisco/Dell switches
  • Administration of Windows Server 2016 – 2022
  • Experience in Virtual server environment backup and replication solutions
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and group policy
  • Advocate for IT Security
  • Experience with security technology and protocols (firewalls, XDR, endpoint detection)

Desired Criteria

  • VMware / Azure / CCNA / Security related certifications
  • Administration of Azure Infrastructure
  • Intune Endpoint
  • Working in an ITIL environment
  • SharePoint admin experience
