About this career opportunityThe role is varied and interesting. You will play a key role in supporting the Support Services team to ensure all IT equipment and infrastructure run at optimum performance across the organisation. You will need to be proactive, driven, and a strong communicator. You will manage the availability of IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement, work closely with the Support Services Manager, and act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the IT department, achieving objectives and company plans as detailed from time to time. Main role responsibilitiesRepresent the Support Services department in meetings and conferences.Provide mentoring and training to staff and visiting engineers.Act as a single point of contact on specific projects.Undertake the review, revision and execution of change management requests.Ensure IT related incidents and requests are dealt with in a timely manner, logged and acted upon within defined SLA's.Interact with suppliers, request quotes and purchase equipment in accordance with policies, budget and operational demand.Ensure IT systems, applications and Cloud platforms adhere to best practices and recommendations set by suppliers and software vendors.Participate in TT2's IT Technical on-call rota currently 1:3 weeks (£3508.00 per annum) as determined by the company from time to time. Ideal candidateYou will be passionate about delivering a great service to all our key stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy, with high levels of integrity. Essential requirementsIT / ICT further education qualification as a minimum.MS Office 365 including Exchange online.Windows 10 Device Management using Microsoft Endpoint ManagerMS Azure support certification/experience.MS Hyper-V virtual environments certification/experience.MS SQL experience.Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment and be familiar with ITIL principles.Above average networking skills, including Cisco Meraki experience.Telecom systems certification/experience including VOIP / SIP and mobile technologies.Holds a detailed understanding of core internet technologies - Routing and Switching, DNS, DHCP, mail transport, OSI Model.Ability to prioritise a varied workload, keeping momentum on long-term goals whilst addressing immediate response to issues. Able to deliver under pressure.Excellent communication skills both written and oral, engaging at all levels through varied media.Proactive with a deep-seated commitment to continuous improvement. Location and working hoursThis is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, based in our Wallsend office. Office hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 16:30 (including 30-minute unpaid lunch break) and Friday 08:30 - 16:00 (including 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
