Role: Project Engineer

Rate: £560 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Client: FTSE 100 FMCG

Location: Location flexible / remote, with occasional travel to Scotland (must be UK-based)

Duration: 12 months

This FTSE 100 leader is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to deliver cutting-edge automation and Operational Technology Infrastructure projects, across their worldwide manufacturing network.

Role:

  • Lead end-to-end capital projects from design to commissioning.
  • Drive improvements in operational technology infrastructure.
  • Deliver projects in Automation, Manufacturing Executions Systems (MES), packaging systems, and IT/OT integration.
  • Manage stakeholders, budgets, timelines, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.

    • Required:

  • 10+ years' experience in engineering and project management within FMCG, Manufacturing, or similar.
  • Strong technical background in MES, automation, packaging machinery, networking, and control systems.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity in manufacturing environments.
  • Skilled communicator able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in Engineering / Science and recognised project management certification.
