Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP; Exeter, Devon – Hybrid & Flexible Working Options. Salary: £40k to £50k + Benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
  • Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems – heating, cooling, ventilation, controls, etc.
  • Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools.
  • Prepare technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the BIM team to prepare models and drawings.
  • Client meetings, site surveys, inspections and monitor site works.
  • Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload.
  • Assist with technical development of junior staff.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
  • Working towards CEng with CIBSE or IMechE.
  • Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools; Revit and IES VE experience would be advantageous.
  • Flexible attitude and enthusiastic approach to work and level of responsibility given.
  • This role requires UK work eligibility due to client projects.
