Were seeking someone to join our team as a Technical Lead/Delivery Lead with strong development background in Java to join our established team in London . This role will sit within the Global Asset Servicing technology team, part of the Operations Technology division. The Asset Servicing team supports the firms global corporate actions processing systems across both the Institutional Equities and Wealth Management divisions A critical system supporting key departments such as Operations, Wealth Management, Prime Brokerage and Traders, as well as external clients.
You should be energetic, highly motivated and dynamic with experience working in an agile environment coupled with excellent, development, communication, and organizational skills. The role will require working with stakeholders globally and across divisions and knowledge of broad spectrum of assets classes. This is a lead software engineering position at VP level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

Provide technical leadership and vision for software development projects.
Lead a team of software engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budget for software development initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
Oversee the execution of software development projects, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
Drive the recruitment and retention of top technical talent for the team.
Represent the software engineering team in cross-functional discussions and planning sessions.
You will work as senior application developer on an in-house developed system that manages the life-cycle processing of Asset Servicing events (also known as Corporate Actions).
You will be responsible for the hands-on management of all the phases of the Software Development Lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and deployment.
You will collaborate with partner teams including Asset Servicing ISG and WM Operations, Client Service Representatives and Application Support Groups.
The projects worked on will form part of a multi-year program to renovate the Firms Global Asset Servicing technology platform.
The role will provide exposure to a wide variety of different business units and asset classes within the Institutional Securities Group and Wealth Management divisions.Hands-on coding experience is essential.
Bachelors degree in computer science , Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of leading high-performance engineering teams.
Strategic planning and execution of engineering projects.
Strong people management skills and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and project governance.
Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, AJAX, Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, SQL, DB2, XML, JSON, DHTML, CSS
Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required
At least 10+ years of hands-on application development and delivery utilizing distributed technologies such as Unix, Java, J2EE Java framework etc.
Experience in the development of service-oriented architecture application, good understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns and data structure algorithms.
Strong knowledge of Java Server Pages (JSP), DHTML and JavaScript
Proven technology architecture skills delivery high performance and high transaction volume distributed application
Experience with writing SQL including stored procedures
Experience with Unix Shell and Python Scripting
Agile development practice
Provide overall project management, local leadership and be a mentor to the staff
