This role sits in the Business Intelligence & Analytic s Team @ Bloom & Wild.

We focus on understanding customer behavior, identifying opportunities to delight customers, and using SQL, data visualisation, and rigorous experimentation to uncover trends, predict needs, and test hypotheses. What you’ll be doing

  • As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you’ll report to the Head of Analytical Engineering and support our fast-paced, data-driven business by ensuring our data infrastructure meets needs.
  • Supporting Tech Changes: Evolve our BI data platform, adapt data models and reporting to support evolving tech, collaborate with Tech & Data Engineering on new feature development, and proactively build and maintain data pipelines to support rapid progress.
  • Work with the Data Engineering Team to ensure seamless data flow and integrations.
  • Optimise Existing Data Models: Understand data across Product, Operations, Finance, Commercial and Marketing; optimise performance, reduce costs, and implement DBT best practices for modularity and incremental builds; monitor pipeline performance.
  • Create New Scalable Data Models: Develop robust, well-documented data models; translate analysts’ data needs into efficient structures; utilise DBT and Snowflake daily; drive automation where possible.
  • Support AI Usage & Unlock AI Capabilities: Build curated datasets for AI initiatives; explore AI tools to speed up tasks; stay up to date with industry trends to challenge how we do things.

We’re looking For

  • Must haves
  • 1-2 years of experience in an analytical engineering or data analytics role.
  • Proficiency in SQL with regular hands-on experience (Mandatory).
  • Experience designing, building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau, Looker or Periscope.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of data and analytical solutions.
  • Problem solving and QA skills for debugging data models and outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive team member who takes ownership and can balance multiple projects.
  • Experience with data pipelines (ELT/ETL concepts) and warehouse knowledge.
  • Nice to haves
  • Experience using Python for data manipulation.
  • Experience using DBT.
  • Experience using AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot for SQL and Python.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven features in BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • E-commerce experience is a big plus.
