OverviewPosition: Permanent/Full TimeLocation: dmg Headquarters, HSK, London, W8 5HYThe Junior Audio Visual (AV) Installation Engineer is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and commissioning of professional AV systems. This role involves hands-on work with video conferencing, television systems, digital signage, sound systems, and control systems. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual eager to learn and grow within the AV industry, ensuring all installations are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. Main Responsibilities Assist senior engineers with the physical installation of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, and microphones. Perform tasks such as pulling and terminating a variety of AV cables (e.g., HDMI, SDI, Ethernet, speaker wire). Mount and secure equipment in accordance with project plans and safety standards. Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure proper functionality. Assist with system documentation, including wiring diagrams and equipment lists.
Project Support & Collaboration Work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met. Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site. Adhere to all health and safety regulations during installations.
Person Specification / Qualifications A foundational understanding of audio, video, and control systems. Familiarity with common AV hardware brands and equipment types. Basic knowledge of signal flow and cabling standards. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn new technologies and acquire industry certifications.
