Overview
Hi, we’re Bloom & Wild. Founded in 2013, our mission is to make sending and receiving flowers the joy that it should be, by harnessing technology, brand and letterbox delivery. We’ve fulfilled over 20 million deliveries, making us the largest direct to consumer flower business in Europe. We are a certified B Corp, committed to long-term positive change for our community and the world. In 2021 we announced £75 million Series D funding and acquired bloomon in The Netherlands and Bergamotte in France. We are home to a family of brands and are expanding our gifting offering to categories like cakes, candles and cocktails, with the ambition to build Europe’s #1 direct to consumer gifting destination.
Data Engineering @ Bloom & Wild
Data is at the heart of what we do. The Data Engineering team builds and maintains our data platform to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and ready for use across the company. Our work powers machine learning models, analytics and reporting. We collaborate closely with business intelligence, data science, product engineers, product managers, and CRM roles.
Our work spans the entire data lifecycle—from developing and optimizing data ingestion processes to transforming and exporting data for analysis. We handle scheduling and orchestration of data workflows, ensuring they run reliably and on time. We also manage and provision the infrastructure to support our data platform, and we partner with other teams to optimize data queries, improve performance, manage costs, and assist with complex data transformations.
Our team is based in the UK and works in a flexible model, with choice in how often we travel to the office. We meet in person at least once per quarter to maintain connections and collaborate on larger projects.
You can read more about our technology stack and culture on our tech blog – Code & Wild.
Please note: This role does not currently offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
