products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised and empower them to be their
best. That's why we're building the go-to brand focused squarely on delivering just
that.

Over the past 10 years we have focused on pushing the performance of products
and creating engaging content to guide millions of customers to high quality
Mous products rather than making cheap products for Amazons algorithm. All
with the aspiration that we can raise the standards of the industry and provide
people with better products.
We're creating products that empower people to be their best, whether they're on a wild adventure or commuting through the city. No matter what your everyday life looks like you can trust our products to remove frustrations, expand your experiences and help you to live without limits.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our growing Product team in London. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a recent engineering or product design engineering graduate who’s eager to start a hands-on career in developing high-performance consumer products.
This role is based in our London office in Hoxton and follows a hybrid working model, with at least 3 days a week in the office. Our standard working hours are 9am – 5:30pm UK time.
About You
As a Junior Design Engineer at Mous, you'll be joining a collaborative and fast-paced Product Development team, playing a key role in bringing innovative products to life. You’ll be hands-on from day one — building prototypes, developing CAD, solving engineering problems and learning how to deliver high-performance, consumer-ready products.
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to start their career in product development, with a strong interest in how great products are designed, tested and manufactured. You should be proactive, curious, and eager to learn from others, while also confident enough to bring your own ideas to the table.
You’ll need to be someone who can manage your time effectively and take ownership of your own projects and tasks — balancing detail-focused design work with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and creative thinking — someone who takes pride in the detail and is motivated by the idea of making products that truly perform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of new product concepts through to manufacture
- Create and iterate CAD models (using SolidWorks) and 2D technical drawings
- Assist in prototyping: managing in-house builds and coordinating with external vendors
- Contribute to technical problem-solving during development and testing
- Support sourcing and supplier interactions for components and prototyping
- Collaborate closely with international production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality
- Assist in continuous improvement of internal design processes and documentation
- Quality and accuracy of CAD designs and prototypes
- Timely delivery of assigned tasks and project contributions
- Initiative and engagement in learning Mous’ design and development approach
- Communication and collaboration with design, production and supplier teams
- Growing ability to work independently on technical problems
- Contribution to improving product quality and production success rates
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in CAD modelling (preferably SolidWorks)
- Good understanding of the product development process from concept to production
- Some exposure to manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, CNC, or thermoforming (preferred but not essential)
- Comfortable using Excel and analysing design/test data
- Enthusiasm to learn new testing methods and iterate designs based on performance
- Strong communication and time management skills
We have a hybrid approach to working at Mous so our team can have flexibility during the week, and we can retain the collaborative and vibrant Mous culture that people love. We expect people to come into the office at least three days a week but some teams opt for more as it’s beneficial for their workflow. Our office is in Hoxton and there are regular on-site activities (e.g. happy hours, painting classes, yoga on the roof etc.).
Here’s a summary of the benefits of working at Mous:
- Opportunity to radically grow and develop through new experiences. Dream big, work hard, and make things happen!
- Multi-functional teams of passionate, supportive and inspiring people
- A competitive salary reflective of your experience and value
- 30% discount for F&F on all Mous products
- 1-month paid leave after 5-years of service
- Regular on-site activities at our Hoxton office
- Regular department and whole-team socials
- 25 days' holiday, plus 8 bank holidays
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Charlie HR perks package including discounts on hundreds of high street brands and services
We have established 3 core values, which inform and enhance the way we work. We expect anyone joining the business to embrace these values as essential parts of Mous life, and we’re looking for people who will build upon them in fresh and inspiring ways.
